Fluvanna County VA Will Mention Pace Grandchildren

Will of John Ashlin, 1795 - Fluvanna Co. VA Pace's mentioned in this
will see below

Fluvanna County Will Book 1, p. 138-139

In the name of God. Amen. I John ASHLIN of the County of Fluvanna
being diseased of
body yet of sound mind and perfect mind and memory and calling to mind
the uncertainty of life
do constitute this to be my last will and Testament hereby revoking all
other will or wills by me
heretofore made. First I desire that all my just bills be paid.

Item. I give unto my sons William ASHLIN and Austin (Augustine) ASHLIN
the tract of land
whereon I now live containing by estimation four hundred and fifty acres
to the surest more or less
to them and their heirs forever, to be equally divided between them my
son Austin (Augustine) to
have his share to include the buildings. Also a part of the tract of
land I purchased of Robt.
RICHARDSON to be laid off by a line to begin at the mouth of the Spring
Branch and running a
North Course so as to strike a pine tree on the Path leading to the Byrd
Creek the same course
continued until it strikes the Byrd Creek thence down said Creek to the
mouth of a branch running
on the North Side of the Creek a small distance below a large Rock
thence up the said branch to
Col. Richard ADAMS and thence along aforesaid ADAMS line until it
Strikes the aforesaid
Creek to them and their heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my son John ASHLIN the Tract of land he now has in
Possession containing by
estimation two hundred acres to have and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my son Joseph ASHLIN four hundred and thirty three
dollars to be removed
from my estate.

Item. I give unto my granddaughters Salley ASHLIN and Nancy ASHLIN,
daughters of my
deceased son Christopher ASHLIN the balance of the tract of land I
bought of Robt.
RICHARDSON not hereunto given to them and their heirs forever.

Item. My will and desire is that all the remainder of my estate be it
of what kind or nature it may,
shall be equally divided among all my Children to Wit: Joseph ASHLIN,
William ASHLIN, and Austin (Augustine) ASHLIN, Ann TONEY, SARAH STONE,
BRAGG and a child's part to be divided between my two Granddaughters
Salley ASHLIN and
Nancy ASHLIN. And a Child's part to be divided between my Grandchildren
SUSANNA PACE and MOLLEY PACE to them and their heirs forever.

I appoint my friend Samuel RICHARDSON and my son John ASHLIN Executors
of this my last
Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affix'd my Seal this
Seventh day of Nov.r 1795.

In presence
of his
BAKER mark

In a Court held for Fluvanna County the third day of December
1795. His Will was proved
by the oath of Samuel RICHARDSON and William BAKER the witnesses thereto
and Ordered to
be recorded. And on the motion of John ASHLIN, Junr. one of the
Executors therein named who
made Oath thereto, and entered unto Bond with Caleb STONE and William
Security's in the Penalty of five thousand dollars conditioned as the
law directs. Certificate is
granted him for allowing a Probate thereof in due form.

Murry Pace(John-Joseph-JohnSr.) was born 1751 in Goochland County Va. and died 1830 in Clark Co.Ky. He married #1 Mary Ashlin Sep. 15, 1775 in Cumberland Co.Va.daughter of John Ashlin and Frances Sheppard. She was born 1756 in Va. and died 1795, Murray married #2 Mary Bragg Mat 02, 1782 in Fluvanna Va.she the daughter of John Bragg Sr. She was born1764 in Fluvanna Co.Va. and died 1831 in Clark Co.Va. The Murry/Ashlin children were 1-Molly Pace b.1773 d. abt 1850 in Calloway Co Va. m. Wm Craddock 1797 in Fluvanna Co. 2- Frances Pace b. abt 1776 d. Kentucky, m. Giles Richardson 1773 Fluvanna Co.Va. 3- Susannah Pace b. abt 1778,d. 1850Calloway Co.Va. M. Robert Tennellet 1801 in Albrmarle Co.Va. Children above named in Grandfathers will see post Fluvanna Co.Va. will mentions Pace grandchildren. Children by second marriage James, Murry Jr.,Joseph, and Sarah
